One of challenges in the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in hydrological models is how the spatial changes can be simulated in an interactive, easy, fast with accurate results, so it can be used both for research and for decision making. Hydrological model alloows predictions on the hydrological processes watershed, but must also be able to accommodate spatial changes in the watershed, because the problem is also for spasial hydrology. On the other hand, there are geographic information systems, which is a computer-based system for managing spatial data. It is necessary to integrate between hydrological models and GIS, to respond the challenges above. Integrating GIS in hydrological models is done for the small islands in Indonesia that could support the development of water trap sustem for coping floods and droughts happenned in the small islands. The purpose of this activity is to support the development of water trap system through simulation conducted in an interactive, easy, fast and accurate.
